A few questions, answered.

Why might my hair be thinning?

Hair thinning can be related to inherited patterns, recent illness or stress, scalp conditions, medicines or nutritional problems. A photo cannot establish the cause; a qualified clinician can review your history and examine your scalp.

Is the hair scan really free?

Yes. You can view your scan guidance without paying or providing a WhatsApp number. Requesting follow-up is optional.

Can the SI scan diagnose hair loss?

No. The scan offers educational observations and possible next steps based on a photo and your answers. It cannot diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment or guarantee regrowth.

What kind of photo should I use?

Use a clear photo that shows your hairline or the area of concern in soft, even light. Avoid filters, hats and hair fibres that cover the scalp. Follow the on-screen framing guidance, and retake the photo if the scan asks.

What happens to my photo and answers?

Your photo and answers are sent to an external SI service to prepare the guidance. We do not save the photo in our application database. Limited scan history can remain in your browser. Our Privacy Policy explains processing, optional contact records and deletion requests.

When should I see a doctor about hair loss?

Arrange a clinical review for sudden or patchy hair loss, scalp pain, sores, persistent redness or rapidly changing symptoms. Do not wait for a scan to seek care. A clinician can assess the cause and discuss suitable treatment.
